To invest in a Starfolio, you need a demat account. When you buy or sell a Starfolio basket, the stocks or ETFs included in it are credited to or debited from your account. The minimum investment amount may vary depending on the composition of the basket.

You can access the Starfolio platform by logging in through your Trendlyne account and connecting your broker. Currently, Starfolio supports brokers such as 5Paisa, Axis Direct, Dhan, Fyers, Groww, IIFL Securities, Motilal Oswal, Upstox, and Zerodha.

Once connected, you can choose a basket of your preference. You’ll be able to view its constituent stocks, allocation, and investment rationale. Additionally, analytics are available to compare basket performance against benchmarks, as well as track individual investment returns.

If you disconnect a brokerage account linked to Starfolio, the associated baskets will be removed from the platform. However, your underlying stocks and ETFs will remain in your demat account—Starfolio will simply stop tracking them.

One-time or SIP Investments

Once you select a Starfolio basket, you can invest either through a one-time payment or via a Systematic Investment Plan (SIP). SIP allows you to invest regularly at predefined intervals, such as monthly or quarterly.

You can also invest by making a one-time purchase of the underlying securities within the selected Starfolio basket.

To place an order, select the basket you wish to invest in and confirm the order. Once confirmed, the trades will be executed through your demat account linked to Starfolio.

All transactions, whether one-time or SIP are carried out through your connected demat account.
